OHCOW presents its 2018 Winter Warm-up on February 10th: Workplace Mental Health

The Local Advisory Committee (LAC) of OHCOW's Hamilton Clinic has organized another valuable education and networking event on Saturday, February 10th, and space is still available.

Focused on Workplace Mental Health, it includes experienced and knowledgeable speakers on the three key aspects of prevention:

Primary (Eliminating or reducing exposure to avoid injury): Workplace Stress & its Prevention (including new survery tool StressAssess) by John Oudyk from OHCOW;

Secondary (Early detection for quick assistance plus exposure and harm reduction): Understanding Occupational Mental Health & Fighting Stigma using Mindsight by Dr Wendy Stanyon from OUIT;

Tertiary (post-injury causation recognized (and compensated) for future exposure control: The New WSIB Chronic Mental Stress Coverage and Psychological Entitlement by Maryth Yachnin from IAVGO.

It should be a though-provoking and enriching morning on the increasingly recognized but still challenging occupational health issue of workplace mental health.
