Role of the Executive Council

The Exective Council shall consist of the President, 1st Vice-President , 2nd Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms and nine (9) Members-at-Large.

The Executive Council shall be the governing body of Labour Council between meetings.  It shall take such action and render such decisions as may be necessary to carry out fully the decisions and instructions of Labour Council and to enforce the provisions contained in the Constitution.

The Executive is authorised to employ such personnel as it deems necessary to properly conduct the business of the Council.

The Executive Council shall be responsible to coordinate any strike support activities, keep Council informed of strikes in the community and to make recommendations to Council for physical, moral and/or financial assistance to striking workers when requested by the local union on strike.
