The Labour Council has a special price of $6 per ticket and will be offering two free tickets to local affiliates. More tickets may be available depending on demand.

Your own affiliate can buy tickets for your members if you click through the HERE and type in the Access Code “HDLC”. You will then get an option to buy the $6 tickets for this game.

You do NOT need to fill out the ATTEND information on the side of the page to do so. If you have the authority for your local to request two tickets, then please do so. If we do not give out our full complement of tickets by mid-June, we will open the tickets up to delegates, affiliate members, then community partners.

Our annual Labour Day parade and picnic will follow the traditional timelines of past years:

Parade at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Bay Street North and Stuart Street.

Picnic from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in Bayfront Park.

The 2024 Activist Awards Night will be happening at 5:30 p.m. on June 25th at Michelangelo’s Banquet Centre. We invite locals to submit nominations for consideration by May 27th when the Special Events Workgroup will be considering the award winners.

Each ticket includes a full dinner and night of solidarity with some of the most involved labour and community activists from our city!

Individual tickets are $95 and a table of ten is $950 with all proceeds from the event going to the United Way of Halton/Hamilton. Please contact Gillian Robinson to purchase your tickets for the event ASAP at gsurette-robinson@uwhh.ca.

There will also be door prizes, a 50/50 draw, and additional raffles and prizes as well. Please help to support our comrade activists while also supporting a great cause!

As Day of Mourning falls on a Sunday this year, we have chosen the start time of 1:00 p.m. with respect to concerns of some faith-based members who have religious observances on Sunday mornings.

All are welcome. There will be light snacks and refreshments served afterwards.
