International Women’s Day 2024

HAMILTON & DISTRICT LABOUR COUNCIL WOMEN’S EQUITY WORKGROUP CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY WITH A NIGHT OF COMEDY – LAUGH YOUR LIPS OFF

HDLC WEW is proud to announce its upcoming International Women’s Day event, a celebration of women through comedy and a fundraiser to support local women and girls programs and services funded by United Way Halton & Hamilton.

The event will take place on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at Collective Arts Brewing at 207 Burlington St. East [BEER GARDEN], and will bring together diverse comedians, and plenty of opportunities to raise funds that fully help women and their families when they need it most.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Diversity Grows Our Strength” reflects the union’s commitment to dismantling obstacles that women face while fostering connections and solidarity among attendees. The event aims to bring together all genders to inspire understanding and value women’s inclusion and to find relevance and empowerment while “Laughing Our Lips Off” with an all woman ensemble in the ongoing pursuit of gender equality and stigma removal.

Individual entry to event is FREE with a menstrual hygiene donation or monetary in lieu of product.
